Curated Home Office

This basement home office received a top to bottom upgrade. Previously a dark, uninviting space we had the goal to make it light and bright. We started by removing the existing carpeting and replacing it with luxury vinyl. The client's previously owned the walnut sideboard, and we creatively repurposed it as part of the beautiful builtins. Functional storage on the bottom and the bookshelves host meaningful and curated accessories. We layered the most stunning oriental rug and using a teak and concrete dining table as a desk for ample work surface. A soft and delicate roman shade, brightened up the wall paint, replaced the ceiling light fixture and added commissioned artwork to complete the look.

Modern Dining Room

This beautiful space started with the concept of a round dining table. We had this table custom made with beautiful brass detailing on the base. We continued the circular theme with the round elements in the chandelier, diptych art, and gentle curve of the dining chairs. Custom sheer drapery finishes the room with soft filtered sunlight.

Ladies Lounge

This sun-drenched living room is ready for a girls night in. Sophisticated and a bit of glam, cozy, and modern. A vintage brass coffee table is paired with four chairs, beautiful commissioned artwork, and custom sheer drapery. 

Eclectic Family Room

This eclectic family room does everything right. The original artwork by Alexander Calder was the jumping off point for the design. Pulling in primary colors with the stunning oriental rug and Turkish velvet throw pillows makes this space come together perfectly.

Custom built in media unit and ship lap wall take this sun-drenched basement rec room from blah to beautiful. The sectional offers ample seating for movie watching and game playing.

Bright Kitchen Renovation

What an unbelievable transformation this kitchen underwent! It's hard to believe these are the same cabinets and same appliances!! We refinished the existing cabinetry and painted them a fresh bright white complimented by a deep navy island and chunky white quartz countertops. We lightened the old, dark mosaic backsplash with white herringbone subway tile. An incredible gold chandelier hangs over the island and a gold pendant over the sink. Gold hardware and barstools complete the look!

Soothing simplicity. The airy palette of this beach-inspired master bedroom emphasizes the home’s natural light. The custom upholstered bed with nailhead trim is anchored by washed wood nightstands. The soft, watery tones provide a calm place to relax and dream of the beach.

A Warm Welcome - Entry Way

This modern farmhouse offers a warm welcome! The rustic reclaimed wood ceiling is balanced by the modern, clean-lined marble and iron console and the fabulous modern art. Blue and orange accents add a pop of color to the contemporary white wainscoting.

Girls Bedroom

This space is perfect for a little girl! The fresh palette of blues and pinks offers a great place to rest, study, and play.  This bedroom incorporates personalized touches,  fun trends, and plenty of storage! To complete the look - antique pieces were painted and given fun hardware, custom drapery, and a day bed that functions for sleeping and sitting with friends!

Transitional Home Office

This bright office is functional and stylish! The oversized walnut and brass desk offers four storage drawers and a glass top. A wool ikat rug is durable, yet soft underfoot. The two mid-century style chairs offer a cozy place to sit. Custom built ins are painted the same color as the walls and trim for a beautiful, seamless look.

I’ve always dreamed of having a clean, modernist home, and I’m happy to say that Alice and her team at Atelier Cohen led the way to making that dream a reality! I couldn’t be more happy with the project, my house looks like it could be featured in a Kinfolk magazine. I expressed my wishes of having a clean, natural interior aesthetic and they truly delivered – the natural light in my newly designed home is to die for. They also helped me turn my dated, drab living room into a spacious and cozy space in which I can’t wait to host a party. I had the pleasure of working with Alice on redecorating my childhood home that hadn’t been touched up since I was a teen in the 80’s.
